"Hospital referral - not sure about choose and book"

I visited my doctor's surgery, regarding having a Hsg And Laproscopy. My doctor gave me a unique booking reference number.

Two weeks later, I wondered, what should I do with the reference number? After reading online, I realised, It was for the choose and book system. I called the doctors surgery for the password and was told to call back. This went on for another week. Finally I was told the doctor still had not referred me yet. Told to call back. Several days later, I was then told my details had been passed on and someone would call me!

Not exactly sure what that means and why I was not given a choice of which hospital I would of liked to of been seen at. Not sure, if I should be calling choose and book or if someone will call me.

Terrible.
