I recently had an appointment with the physio at York.
On entering the hospital I duly cleaned my hands with the gel provided, I then cleaned them again on entering the physio department small waiting area.
To my horror on a table in the corner was the most dirty pile of old tatty papers and magazines (I think most of us know that books and papers are the most notorious germ carriers). Several of those waiting made comment on the state of the magazines although one person was happily reading and licking his thumb to turn the pages.
I have had cause to attend other departments and the situation is the same elsewhere.
"Dirty, torn and old magazines in the waiting areas"
