THANKYOU DERRIFORD

I would like to say how impressed I was with the professionalism, efficiency and care shown to me by all the staff during my recent visit to Derriford Hospital.

On the 24th June, I went to Derriford Maternity Unit for my 12 week pregnancy scan, expecting to take home a picture of my unborn baby to show friends and family, I was faced with the news that I had in fact had a non-viable mis miscarriage.

Everyone involved in my treatment, the midwives, scanning staff, doctor, anethetist, surgeon, operating and ward staff were absolutely amazing. They were supportive, helpful, understanding, professional and caring. I was given plenty of time to think about my options and after deciding to have a minor operation under a general anaesthetic, I was admitted the same day and released later that evening.

My experience of the NHS system (the staff especially) at Derriford was 'excellent' and I could not fault any part of my treatment.

I am now making a very swift physical recovery. I would like to thank everyone involved for helping me through my ordeal.
