"Total Hip replacement"

About: Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre

Anything else?

I had a total hip replacement on 30th January 2013. Prior to the operation I was terrified of the thought of spinal anaesthesia....

I need not have worried. The level of care was exceptional throughout my stay and I specifically asked not to see, hear or smell anything during the operation. My requirements were met perfectly. I slept throughout the whole thing and woke in the recovery room.

The whole stay was very relaxed and now 7 weeks post op I'm up and about and walking about a mile a day with no support aids. The horrid arthritic pain has completely gone and I'm looking forward to getting back to a more mobile life.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Barlborough and the treatment.

Many thanks for all your help.
