"Dedicated staff on F3 and F4 wards"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I became ill in December 2012 with Appendicitis.

I was admitted to F3 on three separate occasions and got to know the staff on duty. I could clearly see these people work very hard to achieve the best care for the patients on their ward. I feel enough isn't being said about the dedication these people put into their work.

In March I was admitted for an appendectomy, which turned out to be open. I spent my recovery time on F4. I am now home and recovering from this.

Again I was very impressed by the level of care and dedication of the team of nurses and doctors at Bolton Royal Hospital. I feel enough isn't being said about how these people work extremely hard and not enough praise given. I am deeply grateful to all of them and wish that one day your dedication will be recognised formally.

Despite the way the NHS is sometimes portrayed, the majority of our staff are indeed dedicated and caring, so it is great that you have taken the time to let people know this was your own experience. We will let the staff on F3 and F4 know of your comments and it will give them a real boost to know that their care and dedication was much appreciated. Thank you.
