"Better funding for arts and crafts"

About: Guernsey House

(as the patient),

I think you should use funding to do arts and crafts and baking and cooking classes.

Thanks for your comment.

Lots of our clients are interested in arts, crafts, music, baking, fitness etc and we do promote these as being really helpful alongside treatment for people working towards recovery.

We don't receive funding that we can allocate to providing these classes ourselves (that's not to say that some of our staff wouldn't love to!) - our drugs workers are fantastic sources of information about courses you can go on, classes you can attend and what's free and what's not.

Have a chat with your key worker next time you're in about the interests you'd like to pursue and they will be pleased to help you.

We also have posters up and leaflets in the waiting room.

Good luck with your recovery!
