I was very ill on Monday night had severe pain on my back and shoulder. Saw GP, was given emergency letter to go straight to A&E. Arrived 5.30 PM reported to reception which took a hour. They then sent me to another reception which iIwas given a coloured card and had to wait another hour before someone took the card off of me. I was then sent into the waiting room with uncomfortable chairs, I was still in a lot of pain. I was told I had to wait at least 4 hours but took 5 1/2 hours. I was in so much pain I had to go and lie down in my car in the back seat. The doctor who saw me said it was my gaul bladder and said would prescribe me with some pain killers, but had to leave as there was a emergency. I was then put on a trolley and put in to a consulting room and still waiting for my pain killers. They could not administer my pain killers as they could not find my notes. I was left on the trolley for about another 2 1/2 hours. I asked if I could have a pillow but they could not find me one. They then found my notes and gave me some pain killers a hour later. I was then told I would be admitted for the night. but had to stay on the trolley as there was no beds. I then became drowsy but could not take it any more so signed my self out at 4.30 in the morning.
I am at home still ill and taking painkillers to help with the pain. I just don't know what to do. I am terrified to go back to the hospital.
