I had to attend Alan Cummings Ward for an operation and was given the utmost of care. I was told who my nurse was, given the utmost information. Met by the Consultant who discussed my operation, all staff were absolutely fantastic and couldnt do enough to help me.

The ward was extremely clean and I could not fault this hospital at all, unlike St Thomas Hospital where I attended 10 days later for a further operation at the Lambeth Wing Day Unit.

It was like a cattle market, no communication, no aftercare and as soon as I recovered in the recovery room, was walked back to an upright chair that I had to sit in until I was collected.

There was no offer of a drink, four nurses sat round chatting and ignored the patients. A little old lady was desperate for a drink and calling out 'water, water' without any help - absolutely apalling, so given the choice, ask to attend Princess Royal Hospital as they are amazing and would highly recommend - Excellent service and keep up the excellent work.
