"Left in agony, peeing blood for a month and nobody..."

About: Royal Free Hospital

Anything else?

My GP has failed to refer me despite me peeing blood and being in pain for 3 months. Al he did was to check me for infections and all the test were negative. Eventually I took out a loan to see a gynecologist privately. She was horrified that I was left untreated for so long and send me urgently to haematuria clinic,

Royal Free has first lost my referral and i had to fax it again.

Then they gave me an appointment for a month later, instead of two weeks. I have been unable to sleep due to constant bladder spasms, I have lost a lot of weight and I am about to lose my job. I did my best to communicate to the members of staff how unwell I am, but it seems to be 'pass the buck' situation.

I have been to Accident and Emergency too, but they only give me more painkillers and tell me to contact my consultant, who I am apparently not allowed to talk to, because he has not met me yet. (according to the gentlemen working at PALS.)

It took me three hours to contact PALS, who do not seem to be answering the phone even when they are being bleeped and when I finally got through to them all they did was to tell me to go back to my GP and tell me that they will send me a complaint pack. Nobody cares, what a scary place Royal Free is when you are ill.
