"Slipped on Black Ice"

About: Calderdale Royal Hospital

Anything else?

Just before Christmas 2012, I slipped and fractured my right ankle. I attended A&E at Calderdale Royal Hospital, Halifax and I was triaged, x-rayed, seen by a doctor, in plaster room for a backslab, check x-rayed, in physio for crutches supplying and back in reception to make a follow up appointment at fracture clinic in less than 3 hours. This was all done excellent care, efficiency and good humour in what was an extremely busy department. We all hear of NHS horror stories, I just wanted to share my positive experience.
