"Prompt diagnosis of MS"

About: Heatherwood Hospital / Neurology

(as the patient),

After experiencing symptoms for several weeks, I eventually had an episode that resulted in me being admitted to hospital by my GP. While not being able to diagnose exactly what was wrong, my GP was able to identify straight away that it was a neurological issue that required urgent treatment.

At the hospital, it was clear to me that the HCAs, nurses and doctors were all under-resourced and without enough beds. They worked exceptionally hard yet always had time for me, the patient.

My eventual diagnosis of multiple sclerosis did not take long as I was promptly given all the tests that I needed in order for the doctors to know what they were dealing with.

I just wanted to pass on my thanks to all the staff at Wexham Park Hospital for the excellent care I received during my stay there.

No visit to hospital is ever a joyful experience but the the kind nature of the staff made it much more pleasant than the scare stories you often read about in the press.

I very much feel like I am in safe hands.
