" Poor co-ordination after good care at Kingston"

About: Kingston Hospital

(as the patient),

Earlier this year, my son's life was saved by I C U (intensive care) at Kingston Hospital. 95% of his treatment was excellent.

The lack of coordination after I C U of notes, treatment, both during his stay on a ward and since his discharge have led to chaos and pain for my son. He is at present disabled after his long stay in hospital. Dependent on GPs getting help for him.

My suggestion is a swift follow up and review of his case (or any case) would save both the service extra expense and any patient the chance of full recovery. At present he has bits of uncoordinated treatment. The risk to my son (or any patient) is that through lack of 'joined up thinking' he will need more treatment for longer with possible serious concerns for his future health. Costs could be cut with proper management.

The GP practice has done its very best.
