"Farnborough A&E"

Anything else?

Attended here on the morning of 19 March, a Tuesday, after a referral by my GP for tests only A&E could do. I was very pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was seen. An initial session with a nurse happened within 20 minutes. A blood test was 10 minutes later. Then about 20 minutes after that a Doctor saw me for a physical examination, plenty of questions, urine tests etc. Next was a chest x ray for which I had to wait only 20 minutes. The actual x ray took 5 minutes. It was about an hour before the Doctor saw me again but part of that was taken up by me Popping back to the car to pay for more time in Sainsburys car park.

In all I was in A&E for 3 hours.

My overall impression was of a very efficient operation, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly tests, x rays and so on were done. All the staff that handled me were courteous, professional and friendly, despite the obvious pressures they work under.
