A member of my family was very poorly, he has heart problems and is a cardiology patient, he was seen by a Nurse and waited 5 hours before he saw a Doctor. Many patients were seen before my Dad. He waited too long for treatment. The A&E has a majors and minors waiting times.

The Nurse should take basic blood tests first before the patient is examined by a Doctor, it would cut waiting times. The Doctor was really good, but the waiting time was too long.

I noticed that there seems to be a big gap when waiting for a Doctor, it adds hours to the waiting time, and treatment. Why cant the Nurse do blood tests, chest x rays, basic tests before the Doctor makes a diagnosis and treatment plan.
