after phoning NHS24 I was advised to report to a & e within the hour, it was a 20 minute wait at a & e, I was then told to go to immediate care where there was another queue.
whilst standing in the corridor along with other people, a young girl having a breakdown, police with their prisoners, drunks and beds with patient on them all along the corridor, a nurse with a clipboard asked me to tell her my symptoms, I refused to do this in a public place, after looking at me like I was a nut for not shouting my very embarrassing symptoms she took me behind a curtain, my blood test, blood pressure, temp and sugar level was taken in the waiting area.
The staff I saw appeared very stressed and overworked. Too many patients crammed in a very small space, is this it for the next 89 years?
