"Ward 5Y - avoid"

My nan is currently a patient on Ward 5Y, she is 93 and admitted for anemia (this is a dizzy unstable person) and she has been clinically assessed as 1 point of malnourished.
So far, in the care of this hospital and ward she has been -
Allowed to have a fall (she is 93!). I had to actively seek out and question senior staff to explain.
Had soiled clothes and pads left by her bed
Had scans delayed due to a lack of proper care and change of necessary medication to allow scans to take place, thereby keeping her in the place 5 extra days.
Been allowed to refuse food all day, despite being clearly flagged as a patient who needed attention paying to their food and fluid intake.
This hospital seems to me to be a sham and can't attend to the basics. There are some nice staff there but nice doesn't mean effective, nice doesn't mean efficient. Nice just means nice, how useful is that on its own if 93 year old patients are left poorly cared for and the clinical side is poor too.
Avoid at all costs and find a different hospital if you have a choice.
I'm waiting for someone to contact me about this already. They had better be quick otherwise I will definately be approaching the local media about this mess.
This place has had a new CEO since July 2012 and Ward 5Y received awards in August 2012.....someone isn't doing their job properly and those in senior levels are responsible and need to sort this out.
