"From being referred to having ..."

About: Southmead Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

From being referred to having the operation I felt that the system was thorough, maybe a bit slow. All staff involved at various appointments were friendly and very helpful and reassuring.

On the ward the staff were helpful and supportive. There was a good regime for control of post op pain.

I was overall very pleased and satisfied with the way I was treated.

What could be improved

Unfortunately the day I was in the heating had packed up and was cold. I did not like the ward having both sexes. I would much prefer single sex wards.

I had to walk to theatre, which surprised me and I did not really like.

Not much explanation of what was going on in the anaesthetic room. At least 6 people there not sure what they were all doing. This was disconcerting and could have been explained.
