I had to visit this medical centre for the first time late on Sunday night with my husband who has emphysema as he had been struggling for breath all weekend due to a chest infection and severe cough. We had earlier in the day visited sunderland royal hospital and was told off for wasting nhs time and we should have just made a docs appointment!! By late evenings husband was totally in distress so we went to peterlee (not daring to risk sunderland again!!) and within 5 mins of being seen he was given a nebuliser and steroids which gave home immediate relief. The lady who attended us was absolutely brilliant and we were given loads of help and advice. We can't thank her enough!!
