Following a transfer to ward 5A I was overwhelmed by the professionalism of the whole team and the care I received. Pain control was excellent as was attention to dignity at a trying time for me. The communication within the team was brilliant and they clearly respected each other and valued each others skills. The ward appeared calm with obvious good leadership.
On arrival in the evening I immediately felt safe and in good hands, my family were reassured and likewise impressed with the ward environment and the team. The housekeeping team had a very positive impact on my stay, always a happy face with the tea rounds and personal interaction when being tempted to eat.
I cannot thank the staff enough for what was a very overwhelming situation for me, they alleviated a lot of my fears and were simply fantastic!
