"On my third waiting list for mental health problems"

About: Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Working age mental health care (community)

(as the patient),

Having been diagnosed many years ago with bipolar, I went to my GP in June 2011 suffering from chronic anxiety. I was put on a short course of diazepam and referred to the mental health services.

Over a year and a half later I am now on my third waiting list with no support and no indication of when I might receive help.

I am now wanting to self harm but don't know where to go with this and feel I have nowhere to turn.

I am really sorry that you feel so bad and that accessing our services has been so difficult

Please go back to your GP and talk to them about how you feel urgently. The trust has an urgent response service that your Doctor should contact to get you help quickly if you are feeling worse

kind regards
