Anything else?
My 80 year old Mother was taken into hospital after a fall at home. (She has severe osteoporosis). Fortunately she had not broken anything but was dehydrated and had a UTI. She was released on a Friday afternoon and we were told to make sure she had her antibiotics and go see her GP. The hospital had no idea if there was anyone to look after her. She cannot move her legs after her fall, so is unable to walk. My sister picked her up but she lives one and a half hours away and I live 5 hours and a ferry journey away. There was no Care Plan put in place and we were told to contact Social Services who have done nothing.
She is now in the Friary Hospital in Richmond, where they will give her physiotherapy and will not discharge her until a full Care Plan is in place. You have failed on so many counts and we will be taking this further.
