I have had a recurring foot problem for many years and recently it had been getting worse, so I went to my doctor. I was referred to a podiatrist. At this first podiatrist I was told I had a pronated foot and tht that was the reason for my pain, and was sent for scans etc, however I wasnt given anything to treat it. A year later I went to another podiatrist who told me that I was pronated but there was no reason for my pain. Again scans were conducted but a lack of findings meant she referred me to the musculoskeletal service to be checked. I then went and was told it was nothing that I had been told so far, merely pain caused by a dropped arch and possibly due to a previous injury. Since I have followed the treatment from the lady at msk I have had no pain, but I am annoyed it took two years and multiple trips to podiatrists before this simple problem was picked up on.
