"Northwick Park Trust Plus"

About: Northwick Park Hospital

(as the patient),

Iwould wish to give, excellent testimonial to my stay and care in St Marks/Northwick Park Trust Plus Sainsbury Wing facility during August 2011.

Approx. 11 years ago I was a private patient on your Sainsbury Trustplus Wing and the impressions that I received were that the poor care could only be a result of poor government, unionism, bureaucracy and association with the NHS.

After experiencing the facility again we would consider it to be the best private facility in the country. Having seen the NHS theatre admission unit and a team headed by a Sister called Siobhan we would also say that that situation is far superior to any Central London Teaching Hospital. The caring team on the Sainsbury Wing is made up of some very rare and personable staff. It is very difficult when trying to thank people and compliment them because very often I cannot remember their names but certainly we will not forget their faces and their rare caring attitudes. We will attempt to mention just some of those whose names we know.

Staff Nurse Karen and her excellent team which included Jonas and some from the Philippines.

The Ward Manager Sister and her excellent team of carers - too numerous to mention.

The extremely thorough, careful, pleasant and discreet group of cleaning ladies.

The problem solving capabilities of Jason Duxbury and Andrew, the plumber and the pleasant Paula Morrell.

Clearly St. Marks has put Northwick Park on the map as a place of excellence. Somehow you have been enabled as a private facility to work through the problems of the NHS. The Florence Nightingale caring approach is something that I have not experienced in any other facility and along with the professionalism and attitude towards a good commercialism you are setting yourself apart from the rest.

The return of the amenity bed is very innovative and could considerably increase your yields and I think it would be common sense for the Trust to re-open the Kingsley Wing. We would also add that your Chef has some innovative ideas with the food, including his shepherd's pie and Thai soup.

As with any organisation front of house, telephony and/or reception are extremely important people as your sales and future sales are dependent on their attitude and accuracy.

There is no doubt that the view from my room was the most extensive land mark panorama in the world. Please keep looking through the eyes of the customers, treating them as individuals never letting them go away feeling rushed or inferior losing pennies but making millions.
