"Unconditional Care and Attention (Ward 15)"

After being discharged from Blackburn Hospital, my mum was to ill to return home. With some help, a bed was found at Burnely General Hospital on Ward 15 for my mum to stay. This was to be a stop gap for one or two nights (my mum had COPD and chronic renal failure and ward 15 is an elective orthopaedic ward).

My mum was critically ill and the staff nurse reassured us that she would take responsibility for the well being of my mum.

I cannot fault the hospital facilities and the unconditional care and attention given to my mum in her last few days of life.

We were treated with dignity and respect and for that I am so grateful.
