I was told that clifton walkin centre no longer attended to dressings or removed stitches and that I would in future have to ring this 0300 number to make an appointment.
I attended the london road walk in centre to have stitches removed from both my arms from where I had previously self harmed
I was told in no uncertain terms that I should not attend the walk in centre for this type of treatment again. although the nurse did take the stitches out but left other wounds that I have on my arms open and bleeding.
on getting back home I spoken to my CPN who has said that to try this 0300 number to see what they say,if not then I should attend A+E as the wounds should not be left open.
I rang the 0300 number to be told that the clinic in clifton is fully booked for dressings until late next week so I should attend the walk in centre at town but surely they will tell me the same thing should I turn up there.
I feel that I was treated badly and that I should not have be spoken to the way I was.
I suffer with mental health issues which means that I act on my thoughts impulsively and often self harm or overdose. What am I suppose to do when these things happen if I am constantly turned away or have to wait a week to get wounds looked at.
