Anything else?
I felt I had to mention the very high standard of treatment I have received from Stockport NHS Trust (Stepping Hill Hospital).
In February 2013, following a fall, I found myself on ward D1 for a hip replacement operation. Stepping Hill Hospital could not have been more attentive and caring. From the moment I arrived at A & E by ambulance (my first ever 'Blue Lights'), I was treated with kindness and consideration.
Throughout my stay, the nursing was exceptional, from pre to post op and then on the ward D1. In fact, I cannot remember ever having said 'Thank you' so many times in a single week - and meant it every single time.
I have the added ongoing complication of having been diagnosed more than 16 years ago with Multiple Sclerosis; and all the nurses worked really hard to help me, going above and beyond at times.
The operation is an unqualified success, thanks to the skill and expertise of my surgeon and his team.
From the cleaners to the kitchen staff, I cannot speak highly enough of this hospital.
Thank you one and all.
Peter
