This ward needs seriously closing. A member of my family had bowel surgery and was placed on this ward. We visited and found him covered in faeces on several occasions. There was faeces on the bed, curtains and chair. He had been sitting there for over an hour before a HCA came to clean him up.

I told the nurse in charge that he was very poorly and couldn't breathe, asked if he could see a doctor and was told that he was alright. The next morning, he collapsed, he had developed Sepsis.

Train these "so called" nurses in looking out for the obvious signs of deterioration in patients health. This member of the family was dying and they fobbed me off. Always go with your instincts and demand to see a doctor, don't let these "Consultant Nurses" get away with their condesending remarks, they know nothing, only to be sarcastic, use their mobile phones and moan about patients.

Get this ward cleaned up or closed.
