My first consultation with my consultant at The Royal Oldham Hospital was on 30th April 2012, where l was advised that l needed a total hip replacement. l got a phone call on 21st May they had a cancellation could l come in on 25th May .

The consulltant & his team came to see me before my operation they were cheerful & confident, which was reassuring, my operation was at 10am, everything went fine and my stay in the new Annex was really nice, only 4 beds with our own bathroom & shower room.

The staff remembered me from having a knee replacement in 2008 by another consultant. It was a successful operation and l am now pain free ,from being on 2 crutches.
