About: Darent Valley Hospital

Anything else?

i would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff that i came in to contact with, they were understanding, patient and kind at all times,.. i would especially like to thank the anthesitist for accomodating my history of cannula fear/pain and panic attacks, he admisterated local in to my hand, and made the inital and only fear of mine totally relaxed . the scrub nurse also was also very kind and joking with me putting my fears at bay, she also administered the oxygen mask etc with care and before my hand with canula totally went funny from the cold freeze.which in the past i have found distressing, i was made to feel cared about and valued, i have had many operations in the past and have not once expereinced such kindness and consideration, please thank all the staff esp the scrub nurse and the anthestist, because of them and i didnt end up crying on being put out--hence not waking crying from operation, this meant alot to me and am sure why i was recovering better and quicker from the G.A,

i had a pleasant stay and hope that will contribute to my speedy recovery, thankyou once again to all the staff

kind regards

Thank you for your lovely comments, and we do appreciate that coming into hospital can be unsettling for some patients especially if they are having a procedure. Your feedback on how well you were reassured and looked after have been passed onto those involved in your care. We were also very pleased to hear that you are recovering well.
