My wife had a fall in kitchen while I took our 3 year old daugher to nursery in Durham City. When I returned my wife had fallen onto her arm. She was in agony and we felt we needed medical attention. On arrival we were happy enough with sour patient care from the start. We didnt have long to wait and the male nurse were very helpful friendly and calming and did what he had to do in order to determine the extent of my wifes injuries. My wife suffers from depression so can be emotional and sensitive. The male nurse wS very good and knew what he was doing which was reassuring to both of us. We were given appointment card and collar and cuff. We made an appointment for fracture clinic at reception and left feeling at least we knew what was wrong and how to make my wife as comfortable as possible given the circumstances. Very satisfied with emergency department. At least if u had an accident you can feel reassured and confident in the care attention and competence of the emergency department staff.
