"Treatment at hospital"

About: St Thomas' Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I had knee replacement surgery and was admitted to the George Perkins ward at St Thomas' as good as they were, they are clearly under-staffed and over subscribed with patients ready to jump in and out of beds. Some of the staff appear to not have a caring bone in their body, that said, others were excellent.

Unfortunately, I'm resigned to the fact I will have a fight on my hands to ensure proper treatment and care is given. I was also diagnosed with DVT and discharged from the hospital with no appropriate medication.

Expect to be rushed in, rushed out and left to work things out on your own.
