About: St George's Hospital (Tooting) (London)

Anything else?

Today I tried speaking to the secretary at the Pain clinic. They lied to me stating the reasons for refusing the referral could only be sent to my GP, not to me. As a health consumer advocate of many years standing, there is nothing which causes less faith in supposedly therapeutic services than having a doctor's secretary completely fabricate a policy. She then refused to provide even her first name. From experience, this is always the action of someone who has been caught in presenting a fallacy. They seem to forget they are operating for the patient, not for their own satisfaction. That this occurs in a pain clinic is particularly disgusting. Its the kind of things that wrecks someone's life. That they don't know it is all too typical. i wish I could say the ignorance and the arrogance seen here is an isolated case. It isn't.
