Despite having a complex labour and birth and subsequent lengthy stay in the maternity ward the quality of care I received from all staff was outstanding. During my labour when complications arose a whole team of staff where instantly available and explained everything that was happening the whole way through. All the midwives who took care of me after the birth where so compassionate and caring, taking care to make sure I was ok both emotionally and physically. I felt like everyone went out of their way to care for me and my baby girl. I can't recommend this department highly enough.
