My son took his daughter to AE on the 5 th march after waiting nearly 4 hours he left taking his daughter to the doctors. Her symptom were stomach ache & sickness she is only 13 months old had lost 2 pound in 2 days she also had a rash. What we did not understand is that she was in a room with other children even though she could be infections.

I am sorry to hear that your son left the Emergency Department following a long wait.
Our navigating nurses in the department are trained to identify contagious conditions that could put other people at risk of infection and would isolate a child only if required.
If your son would like to raise his concerns or discuss his visit with me in more detail, I would encourage him to get in touch with so I can look into/talk through his concerns with him.
