I recently underwent bariatric surgery (Lapband) under my consultant and his team. From the moment I had my surgery date I experienced first hand what a truly wonderful service you receive from this highly organised and professional team of people, I include everybody in this statement, even the cleaning and catering staff were wonderful. I cannot praise them enough, I was a NHS patient and was made to feel extremely cared for and special at all times. My feelings and needs were thought of at all times and I can honestly say that I feel priveledged to have received the treatment and care I received. My consultant is the most gentle, kind and considerate doctor I have had the pleasure to have dealing with and you feel that you are in the hands of someone that genuinely cares about your feelings and your needs and that they are paramount to him, you are not just another patient, you are made to feel that you are talking to a trusted friend and because of this go forward with your surgery confident that your fears and worries have been clearly discussed and you have made a fully informed decision about your forthcoming surgery..
