"The staff maketh the place"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

Anything else?

The LRI is the worst hospital it is my misfortune t have to attend. Usually the staff speak very poor English and waiting times are ridiculous. I have spent 2-5 hours typically for an appointment. This occasion was no different. The operation ran 50 mins late and I was the 2nd patient on the list. The staff at the Angiography were impeccable however. This is what reminded me that it does no matter about the place but the people one encounters , on the proviso of a clean and efficient environment. I have to say that it is a sad day when we spend more money per head for prisoners, MPs and eve the BBC canteen when what I received could only be described as poor. What happened to low sugar high protein? The sick elderly and disabled is where we should be spending our money on. I was in more pain not from the surgery but from the heartburn of the so called food!
