I have Muscular Dystrophy Limb Girdle and for 3 years when i am booked in to see my consultant i have to stand in all waiting areas, due too the seats are too low for me to sit in, same at my GP waiting area, especially when i have to stand for well over an hour, i will be in and out of hospital for the rest of my life now......seating makes life easier

disabled toilets are too low for my use

i would like to know if the seating areas and toilets will start to help muscular dystrophy patience's??

I am very sorry that our facilities are unsuitable for your use. Chairs and lavatories in the trust conform to the normal NHS standards, but these clearly do not meet your specific needs. If you have been referred to Occupational Therapy, this is something you could raise with the healthcare specialists there who should be able to advise of equipment you can use when in hospital or other public utilities.
