"Friendly and cheerful care on wards F5 & F6 at Royal Bolton"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as the patient),

I was a patient on wards F5 & F6 at the Royal Bolton for nasal surgery by Dr Lobo and his team.

I was admitted on F5 ward at 11.30 am, which took approximately 40 minutes then I had to wait in the TV room until 3.30pm (this was not a problem) then a lovely theatre assistant (Joshna) walked with me to the theatre to get ready for my operation.

The theatre staff were brilliant and put me at ease (I have not been into hospital before for a operation).

When I came round I was on F6 ward (F5 is only a day ward and shuts at night) as I was late going in theatre I had to spend a night in hospital so they could monitor my progress after surgery.

The standard of care on both wards was excellent. The staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful - many thanks.

Thanks also to Dr Lobo and his team who took the time to explain all about the procedure for my operation.
