"Appointments not accessable"

I called Manor Park surgery, Bramley yesterday & was told there were no appointments until 25th July (24 day's away) but if I call in the morning at 8.00am I should be able to get one on that day

I have called the expensive 0844 number a few times and keep getting the message "we are experiencing a high number or calls please call back later" there used to be a queueing sysyem now were back to calling from work which is an impossibility
