In my opinion, the new guidelines from the Royal College of Nursing make a mockery of nursing!
The nurse code of ethics state that patients should be treated with respect and standards of care should be maintained. How is it then that this campaign has any support. As a nurse one should be doing that as basic skill. The campaigns for this and that all highlight basic standards, ie Hand washing Dementia care feeding and fluids.
What is the nurse profession coming to?
"Dignity and respect!"
