"Still having Nightmares"

About: Leicester General Hospital

Anything else?

I had a hip replacement in August 2012, the pain was unbareable, i was crying and shouting for a stronger pain killer.

I am on 60 mg morphine twice a day, so the pump i was given never touched my pain, i even begged the nurses to cut my leg off, never ever again, i will never forget that pain.

I was previously told by a specalisit in London that the operation would have bad pain effects with me suffering with fibromyalgia, Rhumatiod artheritis and Osteritis.

I had previosly disscussed the pain with the specalised at Leicester general also the nurses, they all assured me that my pain would be managed, i was given 5mg of some kind of pain tablet after begging them for it, but that did not help either.

Most of the nurses were helpful, they supplied ice in a pillow case, and helped me onto a bed pan.

One night when i had been all sick over my pg`s and the ice had melted, my bed was soaked, and i was covered in vomit, i rang the buzzer ( which they often removed) the nurse said they were busy, five hours later two nurses came to change my bed, they always refused to help me onto the bedpan, they would force the pan under me while i screamed out in agony, i needed the help as my hands were painful.

I srill have nightmares, the thought of going into hospital again fills me with dread.

I was aware that these nurses slept while on duty i spotted the signs
