My mum had to go unexpected to the emergency admissions unit on 10a with heartbeat problems - she was treated well at the e.a.u. even though it was clear they were very busy, and then kept in for the night on ward 10a for monitoring.
The care on 10a she received was excellent - the ward was extremely busy but she was treated with friendliness and respect and she commented on how caring and attentive the nurses were to people in the beds opposite who were very ill. She said she thought one elderly lady was so ill she wouldn't last the night, but she watched as the nurses returned again and again to help this woman, with patience and kindness.
An excellent ward with excellent staff.
"Ward 10a excellent care."
