Whilst travelling on the train, I got talking to the person net to me about NHS Change Day, and he was going into hospital the next day and wanted to pledge something that he would not normally do.
He would normally say thankyou so he pledged there and then on the train to give the nurses a hug! It was such a simple gesture but meant something to him.
His enthusiasm for change day and wanting to do something to help extended to asking the train manager to announce it over the tannoy system! This wasn't possible but the commitment to do something better to support was fantastic and what NHS Change Day is all about.
