Anything else?
Am currently pregnant, expecting twins towards the end of May. Was doing okay so far and relatively happy with the level of service, although some lack of communication between departments not booking follow-up scans etc. Went for a 24 week appointment with the consultant but turned out to be with a trainee instead. They didn't actually check anything at the appointment but asked my general health, I expressed concerns about certain aspects. asked questions such as what birthing options i had and was told i could decide a week before the due date. They then told me they would book a further appointment at 36 weeks. I find this unbelievable. I am in my first pregnancy and expecting twins, i was expecting reassurance and lots of scans to be booked in advance as i read they follow the growth more often with twin pregnancies, only for them to tell me no appointment with the consultant for another 12 weeks. Amazing. I am now much more worried about what to expect nearer the time and my faith in the hospital and service is falling.....
Fingers crossed I make it to 36 weeks!
