Anything else?
Have been a patient in / visited many London & home counties hospitals & this is simply the worst.
Why is it beneath doctors in this hospital to respond to requests to call the patient's only living decendent? I asked the nurses to get the doctor to call me on every occasion that I rang or visited (must be at least 8 - 10 times) - yet not one phone call - and yes, they had my correct number. I have never had this problem at any other hospital so why can’t the doctors here be bothered?
Why does it take a week to organise a simple urine dip?
Trying to contact the wards was a nightmare as well - main phone number often just rang & rang - and then disconnected – and if you were lucky enough to get an answer, ward phone often not answered. I tried at various times of the day / evening – but always the same issue. Appreciate that staff are busy – but again other hospitals are no-where near as poor.
It was apparent that patients that should have been admitted to a ward were being backed up in A&E waiting for a bed – totally unacceptable. This indicates either poor strategic planning in the area (closing hospitals / wards) and / or poor management at Wexham Park – probably a mix of both.
Overall this hospital has gone even further down hill since another relative had to come here.
