"90yr old woman"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

Anything else?

arrived at hri on sat 23rd a and e dept around lunchtime with my 90yr old mum. she had fallen and cut her foot and was bruised on arms and legs. we were soon seen by the nurse and mum was well looked after, blood tests, xray and ecg. we were pleased with how she was treated, mum was discharged around 3pm. we took her for something to eat then home. i had not been home long when i received a call from the hri wanting her back in. her other daughter took her back in and she was given a bed in the acute assessment ward, she was then moved to ward 10 on monday afternoon we were told we could take her home, which i refused to do because we had no outdoor clothes with us and nothing in the house for her to eat (we had emptied the fridge at her house of most of the food as it was seriously out of date) my sister arranged to pick her up monday after tea and bring her home, on arriving at the hri she was told mum would have to stay in at least another two days. on tuesday we were told to fetch her home they eventually had her release sorted for 8pm on tuesday . we had previously been told she would not be able to come home until social services had been and assessed her home can only presume they are on strike. also there are large signs outside of the room mum was in saying we do not send patients home before the family has had time to set care in motion what a load of drivle that is very dissapionted with there disscharge precedure
