"Endoscopy at Royal Bolton"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

I was a patient at the Royal Bolton hospital in May of this year for an endoscopy.

I was most impressed by the speediness of the investigation - I was discharged within 3 hours.

I have been for a number of investigations over the years and prefer not to have sedation. But this time, I was very anxious and so asked for sedation. When the doctor questioned my decision to have sedation just prior to the operation, this did not help to put me at ease.

We're pleased that you were impressed that the investigation was speedy. It is a pity that the doctor's questioning of your decision to be sedated made you more anxious. We're sorry that you felt this was the case.
