Anything else?
My father was admitted to the emergency ward in Oct 12 at about 15.00. He was seen by two nurses for blood pressure and obs, one nurse asked him who the queen was, when he had stopped laughing, his reply was Buckingham Palace, the nurse expressed that he was very confused. My dad is very deaf, she never ask about that. He did not hear her properly.
After waiting to be seen until 18.30, the doctor sent him for X-rays and scans, for an irregular heatbeat and high look pressure, all pre- existing conditions, which he is being treated for by his GP with medication. This took most of the evening. At 10.30, they informed us that they would keep dad in as it was quite late. The next morning we received a phone call from his care home to say, he had been sent back on his own at 12.30am.
My dad is 91. He left Fairfield with medication for constipation. We kept telling staff there was nothing wrong. Please listen to family.
