"lack of support in mental health"

About: Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust Stockport PCT

(as a carer),

There are not enough community mental health workers to assist people with mental health problems in this trust in the Stockport area. It can take months for a worker to be allocated to someone who is in need, too long to be effective or to make a relationship when it is most needed. Services for carers in the community are poor, even though I am well versed in using the NHS, I have not been able to access urgent help or support as a carer when my relative was suddenly ill again . I have very little confidence in the service and feel sad and frustrated that mental health services in Stockport are given so little priority or managed so poorly.
