I was, of course, apprehensive about a stay in hospital but my concerns were unfounded. Everyone involved with the efficient running of Ward 16 at Solihull Hospital, from the cleaning staff, nurses, registrars, doctors and consultants etc., were a true credit to their professions. They treated me during my 3 day stay, with compassion, dignity and most importantly, with friendliness and humility.

Additionally, the staff at Heartlands associated and involved with my pre-op visits, especially the pre-op nurse. His friendly manner made myself and my wife feel relaxed and at ease with my forth coming operation. appointments were impressively, all on time.

I have nothing but praise for the NHS. Well done!
